Very excited this week….
We finally bit the bullet and bought a Roland V-drum kit. Electronic drums should really let us make the live shows closer to the album sound. From the mixing of electronic kits and booming stadium rock kits, it should be a blast!
We recently bought some airplay over at Jango.com
We put up our two demo songs, Altar and Morrigan, in order ot get some feedback on what kind of people liked our music. So far the results have been surprising!
Let me start by saying that most musicians find it hard to describe what their band “sounds like.” It is really hard to get the kind of perspective necessary to make that judgment.
Well, although our number of plays on Jango has been small, it seems like so far, people feel that our music has a lot in common with Brit indie rock bands from the 00′s, like Muse, Lost Prophets, and Arctic Monkeys.
!!!
At first listen, I don’t hear the similarity, but after some careful consideration, I began to hear some parallels. We both have an anthemic quality, make use of piano and keyboards, and like to mix some progressive and glam elements into the mix.
However the test group was so small, that the jury is still out on how accurate this is. We also scored high with Paramore fans, and Im not so sure we sound much like them (although they are a talented group!)
If you get a chance to navigate over tom Jango.com, have Kita a listen, give us some quick feedback, and help us figure out what we sound like!
